How to survive this hole:

The saying that professionals only see fairways and 'hackers' only see problems certainly applies to this second hole on our 'Amen Corner'.

With the river and out of bounds to the left, a steep bank of trees and severe rough to the right and only a narrow funnel of trees to drive through this hole can be quite challenging. Smacking it down the middle is the percentage shot as taking a shorter club for safety is no guarantee of success .

It is best to keep to the left of the fairway to avoid a blind shot to the green.

Once on the fairway it is a short iron to the green which is protected on the left by a bunker and out of bounds. There is severe rough to the rear so keep to the right and if you overdo it you may get a friendly bounce off the bank.
