Men v Forest of Dean ...24/4/10

The fine unbeaten record came to an end with a narrow 4.5 to 1.5 defeat away to the Forest of Dean. One defeat and one halved match out of seven played is still good form and reduces the winning percatage to 71%, however that is still better than the seniors at 50% and the ladies (0%).

Next up The Herefordshire at home.

Men v Patshull Park...10/4/10

The men's section remain unbeaten following a comprehensive 4.5 to 2.5 win over Patshull Park. This is a fine start to the season with five played and four matches won. An 80% success rate. Whisper it but they are doing better than the seniors.

Men v Wharton Park...27/3/10

An excellent narrow away win over Wharton Park by 3.5 to 2.5 on a course we usually struggle on. The season is starting well with three wins out of four, a total of 75% win ratio. We have already won half as many matches as we did over the whole of last season.

Next up Patshull Park at home on the 10th of April

Men Section v Seniors ...20/03/10

The inaugural fixture between the two sections culminated in a narrow five to three win for the Men Section. It was a very good day out with much good hearted ribaldry between the teams followed by a well prepared buffet lunch

Winning pairs for the Men's Section were Wayne Barton and Clive Malcolm; Joss Ingram and Gregg Bridges; Ray Powell and Brian Hunt; Malcolm Davies and Rob Holloway and D Phillips who played in a singles.
Winning pairs for the seniors were Derek Langford and Guy Thompson; David O'Dowd and Lawson Gardner and Edward Jones and Bill Harris.

Leominster v Sapey

A fine start to the social matches season with a 5.5 to a 2.5 win over Upper Sapey at Leominster. We hope to improve on last season's performance where we only won six matches out of twenty. Vice Captain Tony Williams extends his appreciation to the team.

Captain's Drive In - 3 January 2010

Eighty five members braved a freezing January morning to celebrate the 2010 captain Wayne Barton's drive in. The conditions reflected the scoring except in the bottom section where Phil Bowcott and Tony Walmsley played to their handicaps with a very creditable 36 points, with Phil taking first place on countback.

In the top section Ken Watson had a narrow one point win with 32 points from Andy Merrick and in the middle section Terry Davies had a similar margin of victory (34pts) over Paul Chapman. Gerald Cooke won a box of balls for being nearest the pin with his 2nd shot on the 18th green.
